Various variables are needed to be considered when you are going to build mage in WOW. For instance, if you are looking for the best mage talents, would they be specifically for the PvP play or talents meant for running raids?

Throughout the years, mages have become very well-preferred in the World of Warcraft. While there are many people still preferring paladins and hunters, many others now desire to be a mage. The moment that you decide to become a mage, read on for more information in this article to help you go on with your adventures.

First off, you need to know the common mistakes done when starting in to build a mage talent. Often, people jump in, and as soon as points are collected, they start clicking them away. For your information, you earn your first real talent points when you are already in level 10. You need not simply jump in and click away at those points every time you level up. This is the reason why it is important that you get the right mage talent guide in order to avoid certain mistakes.

If you are going to be in the frost mage talents, having a little basic understanding of what it will mean to become one will gear you towards becoming effective in this field. One advantage of being a frost mage talent is taking on the ability of slowing and freezing the opponents right where they are. It is good thing too that as a frost mage, you wouldn’t depend too much on having too much mana and you will stay alive particularly if you use your Ice Barrier talent.

Also, you may need to use Evocation spell, but before doing so, use Icy Veins first. As you go along with the game later, you will discover that this is a wise move to perform so as to not shorten the damage period and avoid interrupting you . Like the idea of increasing your DPS? Then, add some Arcane Blast and Arcane Missiles in your Icy Veins.

One important detail to remember is that despite owning the ability of throwing too many frost spells on the opponent, there would not have as much damage as what arcane or fire spells would. In this particular case, it is vital to learn what is more important so you can decide which mage talent would be best for you.

Would it be to cast many spells quickly as you can or would be to throw more damage to your enemies? On the other hand, on mage talents geared toward running raids, you will discover mage fire talents having strong representation or taking over.

It always depends on your own prerogative to choose your own mage talents, but because of the rather complexity of the game, you should do it wisely. Once level 80 is achieved, it signals that you can start selecting. At this point, always remember the casting and cooldown time on various spells. A good tip that you should not forget is to keep them balanced with the mage talents, while your mana cost is maintained. You will know you have built the mage talents the right way once you experience other players are having a hard time defeating you.

Choosing the right mage talents is a personal decision but you will have to be careful when doing so. There are many ways on how you can do it right, so keep on researching.

WOW, or the World of Warcraft has become every young generation’s incredible source of entertainment. The mighty gaming experience that this MMORPG game provides every time the players are submerged within the virtual battle, WOW is their perfect platform of fun. Being one of the most popular MMORPGs, WOW has captivated the awareness of the many due to PVP multiplayer interaction, like the mage pvp, the variety of quests, flexible reward systems, dynamic elements, and its story elements.

Thousands of MMORPG gamers meet together online to fight against each other rendering the game with massive competitions.

Everyday, many players are stepping up into the battlegrounds and arenas to look for challenge. To fight the many opponents and against the world itself, they go to this virtual world together. When players begin with this game, they can leave their real world behind. They can assume the heroic exploits as well as the grand quests waiting for them in the land of fantastic adventure. The World of Warcraft is an MMORPG filled with rivalry. So, it is not really surprising when a player is discouraged particularly if killed by a hunter. Hunters kill opponents especially for a mage – an easy target particularly when spotted are unskilled or inexperienced players.

If you are a beginner in this game, you might be easily discouraged when you are shot by a hunter at your first practice and the next, and the succeeding attempts. This is to be expected since challenges are what players were put through before getting the hang of it. But you don’t have to be in the same event if you turn for help from a Mage PvP Guide. How can this Guide help?

Most players, even your most experienced ones, have to use Mage PvP Guide before they can deal with the game a little more expertly. There is no better way to practice skills than relying on the Mage PvP Guide. Utilizing this guide info positions a player at a higher advantage over other WOW players.

So, what does this Guide have that makes players have a better position in the fantasy world of WOW? Well, the Guide Info includes everything that a player needs in order to be a PvP success, such as how you can spec for PvP, how you can gear up for PvP, how you can combat any other classes, and a lot, lot more.

Some Guides only tell the players on how to make as many damage as possible. But there are other options. Powerful protection spells surround the frost mage, and in a land where survivability is crucial, the mage becomes any player’s massive advantage.

You also boast a very reliable mage pvp guide if it educates you to which classes work best or what talent build is most effective in a particular land. Generally, it wouldn’t just give those basic information pieces. It also must contain tons of relevant information by the experts, who are naturally knowledgeable of every corner of any PvP situation.

There are more detailed strategies and tricks that can significantly maximize your Mage capabilities in WOW. Be sure to find them at our mage pvp page!

So you want to roll a mage, and are looking for the best way to get to 80 in a hurry? Well, look no further, because I'm going to tell you everything you need to know to roll through the levels in a hurry with this article on Mage Leveling.

So you want to roll a mage, and are looking for the best way to get to 80 in a hurry? Well, look no further, because I’m going to tell you everything you need to know to roll through the levels in a hurry with this article on Mage Leveling.

The first thing a lot of mages do wrong is gearing. Spirit is on a lot of lowlevel gear, but it is almost completely useless for mages, because it only effects out-of-combat regen. As a mage, you want Int for regen, because Evocation is based on your max mana. The other stats are fairly obvious, though: Spell damage gear of the appropriate element for your spec, and enough hit to be capped against mobs your own level (around four percent).

Hit capping takes priority over the rest, but after that you have to determine for yourself whether you need more damage, or more regen. Generally if you are getting hit again after your frost nova, you need more damage. Otherwise stack Int and reduce your downtime by improving the regen from you get from Evocation.

Now that your gear is in order, let’s talk specs. Frost is incredibly good for leveling…once you have the right talents. Until level 29, though, it is going to be inferior to Arcane in pretty much every way. So grab those first two five-point Arcane talents, then get Arcane Attunement and Arcane Focus maxed. What you get after that doesn’t really matter, you’ll be respeccing to Frost at 29 or 30.

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=#oZZAc0hobu is what you should aim for in your new Frost spec, although if you are killing quickly enough you’ll want to get Icy Floes instead of Frostbite. Not that it matters, since you’ll get whichever one you DON’T start with using your next three points. Then, get Frost Channeling and Winter’s Chill, followed by Ice Barrier and Shattered Barrier, and finally Cold as Ice. Pretty much fill out the tree at this point, grabbing everything below and including Empowered Frostbolt and Fingers of Frost. With the Eternal Water glyph, you can turn your elemental permanent, at which point you’ll be nearly unstoppable.

Now that you know how to spec and how to gear, let’s discuss actually playing your Mage. Your basic pull should basically be “Nuke until I’m getting hit, Frost Nova and run away, Nuke enemy until it dies.” Note that you should be using whatever you are specced for as your nuke. And for the first 10-15 levels, just use whatever you got a new rank of last. Don’t forget to finish enemies with your wand to conserve mana!

You’ll usually want to cast until you start getting hit, then Frost Nova and run away. As Arcane you’ll only be able to Nova every other fight, but that’s okay because you don’t have to worry about knockback as Arcane. I wouldn’t recommend using damage shields except in emergencies or when fighting ranged mobs, as they’re a waste of mana in the majority of situations.

So there you have it, all you need to know about leveling mages. There are some advanced strategies that I’ve left out, but on the whole you should be able to pick them up with experience; trying to teach them would be close to impossible as many are very situation-based. As a last note, be sure to check out my other guides if you liked this one!

Anyone who cares about min/maxing their new mage is going to want to know what the best race for mage is. Picking based on looks is great, but if you either like all the races or just don’t care, picking based on racials is the best option. We’ll talk about the pros and cons of each of the three Alliance mage races.

First to bat is human. They have a few talents that make them awesome choices for PvP mages. Every Man for Himself acts as a PvP trinket…meaning you can now equip two normal trinkets. Given the massive power of top-end PvE trinkets, this is an enormous bonus for any PvP mage. Add in Perception for busting rogues out of stealth, and you have a great PvP race.

But while they shine in PvP, Human is somewhat less amazing in PvE. Every Man for Himself will let you get back to DPSing on the occasion where you get CC’d, but overall it just doesn’t mean much. The only other thing worth noting is the 3% spirit bonus…and since Spirit is a terrible stat, it doesn’t really help pull human out of the pit as far as PvE goes. Skip them if PvE is your main focus.

Next up is gnome. Gnome is another good choice for PvP thanks to Escape Artist and their passive 2% resistance to Arcane. And Expansive Mind, a 5% bonus to Intellect, is great for anyone rolling mage, be it for PvP or PvE. Gnome is a solid choice for an all-around player.

The final option on the Alliance side for mages is Draenei. Gift of the Naaru, a fairly-powerful HoT racial, is pretty handy for PvP and even has some use in PvE; not dying is great for improving your DPS. And even if you aren’t in risk of dying, taking pressure off raid healers can be good for the raid as a whole.

What Draenei has that really makes them shine is Heroic Presense. This free 1% hit for all party members is a great bonus for PvP and PvE; missing key spells is horrible in PvP, and no stat improves PvE damage more than hit prior to the cap. Add in their 2% shadow resistance and Draenei is a solid choice all around.

So none of the Alliance races is really a bad option, except for humans for PvE…but what is the best race for mage? Human wins handily in the PvP category; being able to toss on two high-end trinkets and blast away is just too amazing to pass up.

And PvE? Heroic Presence doesn’t stack…so go Draenei only if you know you won’t be partied with other Draenei. Otherwise, roll a gnome and enjoy the massive Intellect bonus from Expansive Mind and you’ll do well for yourself.

Hopefully this has answered your questions about which race to roll for Alliance mages. Horde races will be the next thing I write about, so be sure to give that a look if you aren’t sure what faction you are going to play.

Trying to figure out which race to go with for your mage, either when you roll your new one or race change in the near future? Have you decided looks aren’t a big factor, because mage always looks cool? Then this guide is the place for you. We’ll talk about the benefits each race brings to the table, and figure out the best PvP and PvE races among them.

Undead are the first to go on the chopping block. For years Undead has been the best PvP race on horde side, possibly in the game, for all classes. But patch 3.3 is changing that, with a nerf to Will of the Forsaken that will put it on a shared forty-five second cooldown with PvP trinket effects. Add in their lack of anything worthwhile for PvE, and Undead is, for the first time since WoW started, beginning to look like a bad choice.

Blood elves are the second race we will talk about. Arcane Torrent is the primary racial of note here. For PvP applications, it is one of the better ones around; an extra silence is always a great thing to have. For PvE, the mana regen from Arcane Torrent is great while you are leveling, but at max level you shouldn’t be having mana issues anyways, making it mostly useless.

The last Horde race is the always unpopular Troll. For their big racials they have Da Voodoo Shuffle, a PvP racial that reduces movement impairing effects by 15%, and Berserking. Berserking is probably the best mage racial in the game right now. For PvE, it is the biggest DPS increase you can get from a racial, and for PvP an extra damage cooldown can help you get in that last-second gib before the heals land.

The pecking order of Horde races for Mage is pretty obvious in retrospect. Undead, come 3.3, are mediocre for PvP and continue to be useless for PvE. Blood Elf is, as always, acceptable for PvP and leveling, but lacking in PvE pizazz. And Troll has an enormously powerful racial that benefits both PVPers and PvEers. As hard as it is to believe, Troll is da best.

To conclude, I’ll mention that you should only make your choice on racials if looks absolutely don’t matter to you. The benefits of any given race are minor in the long run, especially with Blizzard slowly working to further marginalize the differences between races. The nerf bat has been hitting every strong racial, and those that are still OP are living on borrowed time.
