I was taking part to several raids every week, but after 3 years of playing this game I kinda got tired of raids and decided to try PvP. Unfortunately, my first steps into arena and battlegrounds were a total failure, everything and everyone was moving so fast and I died instantly most of the times. Nobody wanted in their team because I had no achievements and no experience so, to improve I had to resort to a WoW PvP guide.

This WoW PvP guide really has helped me improve by a lot and just after a few pages I read, I became aware of the stupid mistakes I made in PvP, playing my class. Not only this guide has shown me how to correct the flaws in my arena and PvP gameplay, it also provided me with a whole bunch of PvP strategies. Therefore, I’m going to share here, a few strategies for BGs and WoW PvP arena.

Eye of the Storm – PvP Strategy. This is a comeback strategy that I use successfully when the opposite team has 3 or even 4 bases. Concentrating on capturing the towers, they ignore the flag so I usually take the flag, run and hide, having 1-2 defenders with me. After capturing the bases that they need, the opponents would want to concentrate on taking flags and I will withdraw all their attention while my realm team (even if it’s a pug) will take the towers. As the WoW PvP guide I’ve been working with has instructed me, this comeback strategy works when a team manages to take over the towers because the other team lacks in players. There were times when the enemy team had 1800 points and we were on 2-300 and we managed to win using this strategy.

WoW Arena Strategy For Retribution Paladin – Rogue. Of course, the best spec for an arena rogue is on Assassination-Subtlety. This is a full nuke setup designed to burn down fast one of the opponents. Both paladin’s and rogue’s target is the enemy that has the less defenses, like a shaman or shadow priest. This setup the possibility of resetting the fight, the paladin bubbles and the rogue vanishes. To increase damage and to obtain a better DPS burst it’s a good idea to alternate the PvP gear with PvE items. The rogue will probably be the main target of the opponent team, so if you play the rogue in this type of setup, use your defensive abilities at maximum potential.

These strategies are just a little piece of information the WoW PvP guide I’ve been working with has taught me so far. Of course, it contains strategies for every arena setup, not just the one I pointed out above and also all the information a player needs to be successful in battlegrounds even if the team loses.
