Every Warlock player needs to see to it that their own Warlock builds are taken care of in the beginning whether the objective is to survive or dominate in the game. Depending on your orientation of the game, there are three talent builds which you can decide on and utilize one to level your game up. To help you, there are relevant pointers you can find below as details of each are elaborated regarding on how to wisely play each of them.

If you decide to take upon Affliction build, you are going to focus much on your gear to boost your own spell damage. Next, buff up your Corruption, Immolate, and Curses, which are actually your main tools. As it is one key to triumph, an Affliction Warlock should never forget that running is their best course of action before anything else. As you blow your DoT spells upon your opponents, run away and then watch their life force is draining and eventually their demise.

You are also endowed with one of the biggest tools which Affliction Warlocks carry, Fear. Loving and using your Fear will eventually get you out of death as you wait for your spells to do the job for you. Remember also that Affliction warlocks are known to work smoothly, in a calculated fashion, and this is in contrast with the following talent build, Destruction Warlock.

If it is going to be Destruction Warlock, you are expected to be just as the opposite of the smoothly operating Affliction Warlock, in terms of how you work. Sneaky and subtle behavior is never really a thing for Destruction Warlock. From the name itself, Destruction Warlock means demolishing or destructing things. So, being one, your greatest damage job is to throw Chais Bolts, Shadow Bolts, and Soulfires.

You also have to remember that you have to be faster than your enemy. In order to be effective, it is essential that the range is increased on your spells so that even from afar you can cast them to your opponents. It will be advantageous to buff up spell damage, but more important than that, do everything that you can so your spells’ critical strike rating increases.

The usefulness of your pet succubus will come in handy when you are preparing for another blow set up and you need to keep your opponent occupied. This is in contrast with Affliction Warlocks, which only need to cast off DoT spells. As a Destruction Warlock, you will need to find a good position within line of sight to cast the spells, and your pet will help achieve it for you by capturing the attention of the opponent.

The Demonology Warlock is the strange breed of the three. Talents are to double the effectiveness and sometimes to enhance the abilities of your pets. To focus on every talent that the Demonology Warlock has is a must in this case. One important attribute of a Demonology warlock is its stamina, where some of it is transferred to the pet so it can take more abuse. Since the transfer drains your own, you will have to stack up more Stamina, and while in the process, include Intellect as well.

As noted above, it is therefore essential that you learn how to make the most of being the Warlock builds so you can eventually use them in leveling up in the game.

As you explore Warlock builds, you will discover that the warlock class is the strongest force in the game. Find more about them to learn how you can use each talent build in leveling up in the game.

Even after a rough start to the WoLK patch we see that Warlocks are popping back up in a power position. So maybe its time for you to wipe off the dust on that Warlock alt or even start one? Here is the guide to help you get to 80 in no time flat.

Talents:

Affliction is the best leveling spec for Warlocks period. Usually after level 30 you should never run out of mana when you are questing because of all the skills affliction provides you with. Plus you can go dotting everything with no worries because of the health return factor. There will be a loose build that you should be sticking to in order to get the most out of this spec.

Full Affliction Build – 57/3/11

SL/SL Build – 31/40/0

What Attributes Do Warlocks Need?

I can not emphasize how important stamina is with these builds. Due to the fact that you will be using Dark Pact and Life Tap every 3 seconds the more health you have the better survivability you have and mana. The next important stat you want to boost is either shadow damage or spell power. Shadow damage will consist most of your dps and it will be more effective then the generalization of spell power. Every other stat is not as important.

How to Play:

As an affliction warlock you want to dot and run. This is your main goal. Dot. Run. Dot. Run. and there is always the occasional nightfall proc. you want to look out for. The best way to level is dotting mass mobs. Don’t be afraid to test your limit and die a couple times in the process. The better you get at judging how much you can handle will improve your AoE dots. After you AoE dot a mob you want to do one of three things. A. Life Drain if your health is low. B. Mana Drain/Dark Pact/ Life Tap if mana is low. C. Rain of Fire to finish off the mobs.

Leveling Guide:

Now that I explained how to get your Warlock up and running now there’s the hard part… Leveling. Please read my post on the hidden truth about leveling guides, quest helper, instancing, questing, grinding, and much much more. Warlock Leveling Guide.
